The whole world knows that Parvati is the greatest Bhaktin of Shiva. She is the one who gets the boon of inseparability from Him, she is his Shakti and takes birth to get married to Him: A Divine fact already established since eternity: Shiva and Shakti are always together. The phrase Pati parameshwar " the husband is God" is so literal with her.We all know that Shiva is her only devotion, her only subject object in life, and that she constantly meditates on Him.
But
this very interesting picture shows the other side: Shiva is meditating and it is Shakti who smiles benificently on Him.Maybe this is the time between Sati and parvati, when Shiva was constantly thinking of her, she WAS his only meditation!
or maybe it is the time when the young Shiva can picturise His own shakti in the manifest form, He is trikaal darshi, he can have a vivid vision of the things to come. Whichever of the time periods, one thing is certain: Shiva is as devoted to Parvati as she is to Him, once again, showing by example that true love is timeless. Aum Namah Shivaye! Jai Jagdambe !
