Learn to tune your mind. God is there all the time but you cannot realise because the mind is not tuned. To tune it, mantra is very important. A mantra is the most important prayer we have, it is like the knob that is used to tune the mind. When you inwardly slowly repeat, ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ mind will undergo a change, a transformation. Because the mind cannot accommodate more than one thing at a time, negativity does not get a chance to enter it. When that happens, you begin to realise peace and steadiness of mind. Any time you see or hear something that disturbs the mind, or during problems in life, chant mantra. do that all the time and the mind will be calm, quiet and peaceful. If we have a cup of poison and we are constantly pouring pure water in the cup, there comes a time when there will be no more poison in the cup, only pure water.
